Le Brussels Groove Collective (BGC), groupe vocal de jazz issu du Conservatoire royal de Bruxelles, en résidence au Music Village, est dirigé par le pianiste-chanteur londonien Pete CHURCHILL. Une bête de scène et un formidable chef de chœur.
Parmi les choristes du BGC, on trouve des renforts extérieurs, dont le guitariste Fabien Degryse, bien connu de la scène jazz belge, au pupitre des basses ; et le pianiste Philippe Navarre, célèbre accompagnateur au Conservatoire. Ainsi que la comédienne Anne Beaupin chez les sopranes et la violoniste Cécile Broché chez les alti.
Le répertoire est riche de grands standards du jazz, du gospel, du groove, signés Paul Simon, Stevie Wonder, Ray Charles, Labi Siffre, James Taylor, Count Basie et Pete Churchill… Ce dernier concert de notre 9e saison sera la Fiesta idéale pour lancer notre [Saison 10], atmosphère garantie ! Une rareté.

Is it possible to have 30 singers on the stage of the Cellule 133a, singing as one voice, in harmony, with one groove? Well come and discover them yourself — we do not know yet where we will put them all !
The Brussels Groove Collective (BGC), the jazz vocal group from the Royal Conservatory of Brussels, hosted in residence at the Music Village, is directed by London-based pianist-singer Pete CHURCHILL. A great performer on stage, and a formidable bandmaster.
Among the singers, there are some external reinforcements, not least: the guitarist Fabien Degryse, well known on the Belgian jazz scene, and the pianist Philippe Navarre who have joined the bass section. And the actress Anne Beaupin and the violinist Cécile Broché, newcomers to the alti section.
The choir’s repertoire is full of great standards from the worlds of jazz, gospel and groove. Songs by Stevie Wonder, Ray Charles, Paul Simon, James Taylor, Count Basie and Pete Churchill… This last concert of our 9th season will be the Fiesta whichd will launch our [Season 10] ! Atmosphere guaranteed ! This is a rarity.
