Being kinda flagship of the amazing label, Arbouse Recordings (Melodium, Acetate Zero, ww.lowman, etc.), French band astrïd stands as awe-inspired as withdrawn, which is unfortunate as their slow burning, epic instrumental, part neo-classical, part folk and to say the least mainly cinematic music is blissfully delicate and emotive, really. Think about Clogs, Brian Eno, Mark Hollis, Max Richter, Rachel's... Having said that and evoking the Louisville legend, let's emphasize that RACHEL GRIMES herself, muse and main composer of the band, will exceptionally join astrïd musicians and share the floor this special evening. This ultimate meeting will flourish around their shared love for early 20th century European composers, improvisation and free forms. We won’t spoil the surprise if we tell you that this musical pacing, mood and musicianship will be fantastic!

0 [pronounced zero] is a musical collective created in 2004 whose core is the French multi-instrumentalist and composer Sylvain Chauveau, one of the current leading crossover figure in ambient/experimental/minimalist/contemporary classical music. Many guests are joining in according to the different projects and they use to play compositions by the members of the ensemble and has already performed pieces by Morton Feldman, Steve Reich, Taku Sugimoto, Erik Satie, John Cage, Moondog, Gavin Bryars, Fritz Hauser, Philip Glass or Rachel Grimes (yes!). Sylvain is back in town with Cyril Secq (member of astrïd) to present the new 0 material.
